About Nathaniel Alan Hawkins.

Nathaniel believes that standing together is important now, more so than ever, instead of allowing ourselves to be divided. The issues that our country faces today are not red or blue issues. They are American issues that affect all of us, and as such we must work together to solve these problems plaguing America. We must elect representatives who have shared our experiences and understand that the legislation they pass in Washington has real-life or death consequences for real people like you and your family back home. He believes we must elect representatives who are one of us. Not career politicians or CEOs of large corporations.

When his parents separated, at the age of eleven, Nathaniel and his family relocated to Cleves, Ohio where his mother is originally from. He attended Three Rivers Middle School and then Taylor High School in the Three Rivers Local School District. During this time, he was honored to be the first person of color, in over 100 years of school history, to serve as Taylor High School’s Student Body President. Two weeks before his high school graduation, his youngest sibling Brandon was struck down by an anoxic brain injury that would later be diagnosed as a Chiari Malformation. After studying International Business at Ohio University for a year, he transferred to the University of Cincinnati to be able to be closer to help care for his recently paralyzed little brother. While attending the University of Cincinnati he also served as the President of his fraternity Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI). Family is and has always been the most important part of Nathaniel’s life.

As the son of a United States Marine and a 25-year veteran of the Cincinnati Fire Department, Nathaniel has always felt a strong sense of duty and responsibility for the well-being of his country. Aside from his father's service, his mother has worked in healthcare since 1993. First for Group Health Associates and then for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he and his younger sister both now work. As a consequence of his upbringing, helping people has always come as second nature to him.

“I’m a Hawkins, it’s just what we do.”   - Nate

On September 11th, 2022, Nathaniel became a father, with his Fiancé giving birth to their son, Ezra Parker James Hawkins. The second he laid eyes on his son his entire world changed forever. Nathaniel wants to ensure that his son and every other child will have a safe and prosperous life. Making sure that our children have a country and a planet still left to inherit someday is his number one priority.
